Donations Going Above and Beyond

By Jeremiah Paul, Taste of Immokalee Student Intern
This year has been a new adventure for all of us, but one thing that has stayed the same is the generosity from you, our supporters. Taste the Impact’s number one goal is to ensure that our students have the resources, skills, and guidance to succeed. We would not be able to do this without your help.

We want to thank everyone who has donated, volunteered, purchased Taste of Immokalee products or has supported Taste the Impact in any other way. Here are some examples of the many ways that your kindness has gone above and beyond in the past few months.
Dan Ripp: Donated Custom Tailored Suit
Last year, at our 2019 Taste the Impact Luncheon Live Auction, there was a custom Tailored Suit Package donated by John Craig Clothier for auction. Mr. Dan Ripp bid on the item and donated his winnings to one of our high school seniors, Arturo Artiles.

Fast-forward to May 2020, Arturo had the opportunity to walk across the stage at his high school graduation in a custom Tailored Suit donated by Dan Ripp and John Craig Clothier. Arturo is sure to be dressed to impress for any future interview, event, or job that comes his way. Thank you, Dan.

Kristi Grigsby: Winter Wear
As our students pack-up for college this fall, many are not prepared for the brutal winter up North. Our marketing consultant and mentor, Kristi Grigsby, noticed this problem and donated winter wear to our three students attending colleges in New Jersey, Michigan, and Georgia. Now our students can be successful in college without worrying about freezing in the cold! Thank you, Kristi.

Winn-Dixie Gift Cards
Recently, during the pandemic of COVID-19, Taste the Impact received an anonymous donation of some Winn Dixie gift cards. What a wonderful surprise! We distributed the gift cards to our students’ families between Immokalee and Naples. Thanks to this random act of kindness, our students were able to purchase necessities for their families during these difficult times.

We are so grateful for your ongoing support and encouragement as we work together to impact young lives and make a difference in our community.
